After hearing how "depressing" this film was and being warned away from it, I ended up watching it about two nights ago.

It was a "grab the kleenix" movie with bits of sarcastic humor in it. It was also very good because it was about connecting with people and correcting that lonely feeling before it is too late. I was surprised in how much I liked it. It is a downer of a movie but also very well done. I am glad that I didn't listen to people who bad mouthed it due to the "depressing story" and watched it. Not every movie has to have a happy ending and this films ending was both happy/sad.

It is definitely worth a watch because the trailer does not do this film justice at is very good.

I loved this book when I read it many years back. The movie looks so visually stunning and each new trailer (including this International one) makes me want to see it more and more. It definitely looks like a movie to see on the big screen.

I have always loved the book The Hobbit because it is the perfect adventure story. Bilbo is an unwilling adventurer at first but slowly grows to love the journey and become very brave.

I cannot wait to see the film.

Head On.

One of my Twitter followers mentioned Jesus and Mary Chain in a tweet. It instantly gave me a flashback to 1993 when I listened to this album, on repeat, while getting my wisdom teeth extracted.

I really miss Jesus and Mary in early 1990s and 1980s Jesus and Mary Chain. They were the perfect band to make parent's raise their eyebrows about when you mentioned the band name or played their older music.

Jesus and Mary Chain...the band that worried punk rock, Goth, and alternative kids parents everywhere.

I cannot wait.

And it seems the Russians are going into elections this week so I expect LJ to go down for the time that happens. So, if you don't see me posting anything at all, it means I cannot access LJ due to that.

I am tempted to do this myself sometimes while riding public transportation. Somehow, the ride feels like a music video when you are listening to music. It makes you want to lipsynch and dance to the music.

Added bonus: Some people will think you are mentally off if you do this and leave you alone.

Coldplay's music always makes me feel so upbeat, full of hope, and excited about life.

I am lifting this from [ profile] phaedravelveta because it is such an excellent version of this song!

I checked up on 2Cellos and found out they are releasing an album on July 19th.

I may just have to buy it because it has some interesting covers of songs on it...and I love their version of Welcome To The Jungle so much I downloaded it to my Itunes.

Great musical find!

Huge tornados struck the mid-west last night. A lot of lives were lost and damage was done.

One hit Joplin, Missouri....a guy happened to catch what it is like to be huddled in a building while a tornado hits it.

What he says at Youtube site about video:

"The video i took while at Fastrip on east 20th street. We huddled in the back of the store until the glass got sucked out , then ran into the walk in storage fridge. Sorry for the lack of visuals but the audio is pretty telling of how intense the storm was. The tornado hits at around 1:20 seconds."

There is mainly audio due to no electricity but just hearing it hit and the people screaming/crying as they huddle in the walk-in freezer at the store is enough to really stun you.

As the little boy cries near the end:

"It's the worst day of my life."

I hope I am never in a storm like this.

Someday, when I have more going on in my life, I want to attempt this sort of project. Right now, Iam in the house too much to make the project worthwhile for me.

This cat really loves his boxes:

The last slim box had me laughing so hard.

Sheba (our cat we had) was fat and tired hard to fit into any bag or box with little success when they were too small. It is so funny when a cat's love for boxes/bags is so intense that they think they can fit anywhere. Like this cat in the video.

Came across this song and think an Itunes purchase of it is in order.

This video is one is a must not pass it by.

It made me think about all the unknown talent that exists out there in the world in people living everyday lives.
